It was the best trip! From start to finish, we had the most amazing time. The Disney Dream was a dream indeed. Lily was so in her element.... Princesses, Mickey and more characters then we could count! She settled right in and enjoyed all that Disney had to offer on the ship. It was so fun to sail with my sisters and their big kids. Lily got to spend a lot of time with her cousins. She was the youngest by about 10 years and she loved all of the attention (Lily loves having a big family!) One evening, we let Lily loose with two thirteen year-old girls (her cousin Annie and a friend, Caroline). I'm not sure who had more fun! It was a riot and we heard that Lily "may have" photo bombed a few princess/family photos! As Caroline said, "Lily, get your game face on!" At one point, she even followed Daisy Duck into her break room!
It began with a fun Sail Away Party. The minute we walked onto the ship, we knew it was going to be an awesome experience. The weather was spectacular, sunny, warm and breezy. We had the sweetest housekeeper, Suzanna, for our room. The first day she delivered Lily a princess pillow. Each night when we would return from dinner, we saw that she had arranged Lily's princess dolls all over the room. We had great shore excursions. One of our favorites was the Dolphin encounter. Lily giggled the whole time and got to hug and kiss her fishy friend. Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, was a fun day to enjoy the beach. The dining was yummy and constant, food was available 24/7. One afternoon, Lily played in the mickey mouse pool while watching Lion King on the giant outdoor movie screen. She made little friends everywhere we went. We saw live broadway style shows after dinner and we watched Frozen at the ship's movie theater (she happily and loudly sang each song). Lily's aunt bought her a beautiful Anna dress that she wore around the ship (we brought her Cinderella dress from home too). Pirate night was surprisingly a big hit with Lily. Afterwards, there was a huge fireworks display from the ship. Amazing. We got to end our trip by spending five days in Key West. Let me say, "I Love Key West"! It has relaxing, beautiful and so much fun! I want to go back. I think I could live there :) Or at least become a snow bird!
Below are photos from our travel day and the first afternoon on the ship. This is going to take several posts to get through all of our photos! Once we landed in Orlando, we boarded the Disney coach bus to Port Canaveral. Lily was so excited to be on the bus but when she finally saw the massive ship, she screamed!
to be continued :)
