A few first steps....

....have turned into this!

It is like she has been handed the keys to the kingdom. There is no stopping her. Her joy and delight is infectious. This little pumkin does not give up. She tries and tries and then tries some more. When she falls, she looks to me for encouragement and then picks herself right back up. I've said this before about her, but she is the bravest person I have ever known. Her spirit is pure love and light.

You go, baby girl, and keep on smiling. We will always be cheering you on. Lily Fan, you light up our lives!

And on another note, Lily was evaluated last week by our states early childhood development program. She passed in all areas; cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, communication/language and social abilities. If she had qualified for services, that would have been just fine with us. But she didn't, and that is just fine with us too. We will always meet her wherever she is, because whatever that looks like, it will be perfect!
